WILLIAMSBURG TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

The Clermont County Sheriff's Office is looking for a pair of suspects who allegedly assaulted a Good Samaritan.

Deputies responded to SR 276 near Half Acre Road in Williamsburg Township on Thursday afternoon just before 5 p.m.

Trevor Riley, 24, told police that he was driving down SR 276 when he stopped to assist a vehicle that appeared to be disabled and had its flashers on.

Riley said two men emerged from the car, knocked him to the ground and attempted to take his wallet from his pocket, but were unsuccessful. The subjects then left the scene.

The suspects are described as black men in a white minivan.

The victim sustained some minor facial injuries and was transported to Clermont Mercy Hospital for examination and treatment.  No suspects have yet been found or identified and the investigation continues.
