Harvest Home Fair, 160-year-old tradition, kicks off

CHEVIOT, OH (FOX 19) -

The Harvest Home Fair, a Westside tradition, is underway this weekend. A parade went through Cheviot Thursday night to kick off the fair. This year's fair is celebrating 100 years of the Cheviot Fire Department.

The Harvest Home Fair has been a staple on the Westside since the 1860s. The annual fair includes a parade and one mile run held on Thursday, and runs through the weekend with a horse show on Friday and Saturday, and a 5k walk/run on Sunday. It also features amusement rides, stage shows, art shows, flower shows, and 4-H livestock exhibits and a 4-H auction.

Admission is $5 for adults, and free for children 12 and under. There is no admission charge Saturday and Sunday before 3:30 p.m.
