OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) - Step-up Cincinnati, the region's largest student-planned, student-run day of service takes place on Saturday. More than 500 high school students from the Cincinnati area will be participating in a day of service, hosted by UGIVE, for local non-profits, and celebrating with an after party in Washington Park.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., students will volunteer from 9 a.m. to noon, and the after party will take place from noon to 2:30 p.m.
Students are able to choose from a variety of local non-profits including Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity, CinciServes, students will be making dog toys for the SPCA and other rescues, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, where they can stock food and help clients, and Josh Cares where students will create holiday gifts.
The after party in Washington Park will include free food from Dunkin' Donuts, Skyline, and Papa Johns. There will also be entertainment from BoyMeetsWorld, and Radio Rescue.
