Pistons Celebration

Thousands of Pistons fans cheer NBA champs

William Davidson says the Los Angeles Lakers "were lucky to win one game" in the NBA championship series. The Pistons' owner celebrated his team's series win with tens of thousands of fans in Detroit today. Players, team staff and Michigan political leaders all turned out for the parade and rally. Coach Larry Brown says Detroit has "the best fans." Center Ben Wallace fired up the crowd by polishing the trophy with exaggerated strokes with a spare souvenir T-shirt. Series MVP Chauncey Billups says the players "worked so hard just to have this kind of appreciation." The Pistons won the championship four-games-to-one Tuesday night.
