Everyone across the country is coming together to remember those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. It's hard to believe that 11 years have passed since nearly 3,000 people were killed when hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and a field in Shakersville, PA. President Barack Obama has proclaimed today Patriot Day and the day of National service and remembrance, so please take a moment today to send your thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.
Several memorials are being set up locally for the victims of 9/11 and you are invited to attend and share a moment of silence with your fellow community members. If you have the chance, please stop by.
Working in the media has definitely exposed me to my fair share of crime in the area and personally, I think this is a great idea - Cincinnati Councilman Chris Seelbach is wanting to know your thoughts on public safety. A series of public meetings are being planned for you to come voice your opinions on ways to keep your neighborhood safe. Kelly Rippin will be live at 6 a.m. with when and where your voice can be heard.
It was a huge night for sports in Cincinnati as both the Bengals and the Reds took it to the field. Unfortunately, the kickoff to Monday Night Football wasn't picture perfect and the Bengals were smoked by the Ravens IN BALTIMORE (hehe) 44-13. The Reds, however, had a different story in what seemed like the longest game ever. After a whopping 14-inning marathon, Cincinnati took the 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Great American Ball Park.
