Should it stay or should it go...?

Good morning!

I'm definitely feeling like the repetitious middle man for your daily forecast but as long as it stays nice out, I'm totally okay with it! Once again, we can expect mostly sunny skies with highs hitting the mid 80s for our Thursday afternoon - enjoy!

A processional is being held to day in honor of Pfc. Jonathon Crawford who drowned last week just hours after graduating from boot camp in Parris Island. The event will kick off at 4 p.m. from CVG and will end at the Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia. FOX19's Jessica Brown will be live with more details starting at 4:30 a.m.

Following the overdose of a local woman, residents of Dayton, KY came together last night to rally against the town's recent heroine problem. Rob Williams and Sheila Gray will have the latest on how the town plans to crack down and tackle drug use within the community.

Chad Johnson has been formally charged with domestic battery after his wife accused him of head-butting her during an argument last month. The former Bengals WR is scheduled to be arraigned this morning and could be facing up to a year in prison.

They say that a penny saved is a penny earned, but what if that penny doesn't exist anymore? A sports store in Vermont is getting rid of the 1¢ piece and is opting to round up in change for customers that pay in cash. What do you think? Should the penny stay or should it go? Come let us know your thoughts on the FOX19 Facebook page!

Spiders...eek! Bugs don't normally bother me but when it comes to those creepy 8-legged creatures, I can't help but cringe! A Meteorologist in Phoenix got quite the surprise when a huge (yes, I promise it was huge) spider dropped down on his green screen in the middle of a weather hit! Chuck George handled it like a champ, but I may or may not have gotten a good laugh thinking of what Frank Marzullo's reaction would be if this were to happen to him! Check out the video!

Speaking of Frank, coming up at 9 a.m. during the FOX19 Morning Xtra he'll be chatting live via satellite with celebrity chef and author, Rachael Ray! Rachael is one of the newest members to the FOX19 fall line-up and will start airing on Monday September 17, at 11 a.m.!

You are now in the loop of today's newsroom happenings - enjoy the rest of your Thursday!
