President Barack Obama will be speaking at the Seasongood Pavilion at Eden Park this afternoon. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the President is expected to speak around 12:25 p.m. The event is free to the public but a ticket is required for each attendee. Officials are also suggesting that anyone who plans to attend should arrive early due to limited parking in Mt. Adams. Brad Underwood will be live this morning with more on today's event.
A little from the Republican side - Congressman Steve Chabot and other Republican leaders will be holding a news conference this morning prior to the President's arrival. The conference will start at 10 a.m. on the corner of Eden Park Drive and Gilbert Avenue.
Officials are saying that hundreds of protesters are burning cars and throwing rocks at a military camp in Afghanistan following the posting of an anti-Islam film on YouTube. U.S. ambassadors in Muslim religions have been notified by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Embassy in Islambad is closed today as a precautionary measure.
