Want a little Xtra credit? Come play!

Good morning!

It was so hard to be productive after work yesterday with the showers that rolled through the area...all I wanted to do was nap! Second verse, same as the first is what Meteorologist Jeff Creighton is saying for your Tuesday forecast. We can expect more showers and thunderstorms with highs only hitting the mid 60s! Jeff and Frank will have more on your seven-day outlook starting at 4 a.m. on the FOX19 Weather First.

Police are asking for you help in cracking the case of a late night murder in the West End. Officers were called to an apartment complex behind the YMCA on Baymiller Walk around 9:30 last night where they found 24-year-old Kenneth Harris shot in the stomach. If you have any information regarding this homicide, call CrimeStoppers at (513) 352-3040.

Several jobs and services could be on the chopping block for the Covington Fire Department. Brad Underwood will be live this morning with more on tonight's meeting starting at 5 a.m.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine will be making his way to the Tristate today as East Price Hill is working to make improvements to the neighborhood. Dan Wells will have more on the neighborhood's plans on the FOX19 Morning News at 5:30.

After being convicted of 45 counts of sex abuse, Jerry Sandusky will be learning his fate in just a few weeks. A judge announced yesterday that Sandusky is scheduled to be sentenced on October 9th. Rob Williams and Sheila Gray will have more on this story and the sentencing that Sandusky is facing at 6:30.

Our Cincinnati Reds are in Chicago today to start open a series with the Cubs. Homer Bailey will be taking the mound at 8:05 tonight and if all goes well, the Reds could clinch the Central Division as early as Thursday!

Yesterday we launched the second hour of the FOX19 Morning Xtra and all of us here are feeling pretty good about it! Frank, Sheila and Dan did a great job kicking off the new hour and we're looking forward to today's show complete with taste testing, satellite interviews, a great blog by our very own Kelly Taylor and the new Xtra Credit quiz with our viewers! If you watched the show yesterday, be sure to tune-in today for your chance at Xtra Credit to win a great prize!
