CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

In order to get into the Oktoberfest spirit, the pigs in downtown Cincinnati's Big Pig Gig are donning chicken hats.

Over 100 decorated pigs are located throughout downtown Cincinnati as part of the Big Pig Gig.

On Wednesday, 30 of the pigs will be given Oktoberfest chicken hats.

Oktoberfest is this weekend and spans six blocks along Fifth Street downtown Zinzinnati. Former Reds great Tom Browning will lead the crowd in the Chicken Dance on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. on Fountain Square.

Around 1,500 chicken hats are sold every year at Oktoberfest, making it "the" Oktoberfest accessory. The hats sell for $10.
