DEARBORN COUNTY, IN (FOX19) - Authorities say a crash on I-74 has claimed the lives of two victims.
Three medical helicopters were called to the scene of the crash around 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday. Three vehicles were involved in the crash which happened near the 159 mile marker on eastbound I-74.
Authorities say a blown tire is to blame. Frank Cox, 36, was driving a Ford F-250 when he said the vehicle jerked into the eastbound lanes striking two vehicles.
Jeff Burton, 45, of Osgood, a passenger in Cox' vehicle, and Brian Hare, 43, of Cincinnati, the driver of another vehicle, where killed in the crash.
Another passenger in Cox's vehicle, Mackeba Davenport, 44, was flown to University Hospital for her injuries. Cox was taken to Margaret Mary Hospital for treatment for his injuries.
