FORT THOMAS, KY (FOX19) - Campbell County Dispatch Center has confirmed that a small plane with one pilot and one passenger has crashed into a hill in Fort Thomas. It is believed that the plane was trying to get to Lunken Airport. The crash occurred at approximately 9:29 p.m. Saturday evening.
The pilot and passenger were extracted from the plane once crews arrived. Dispatch has confirmed that the male pilot is okay, and the female passenger has sustained a head laceration, but is in good condition.
Multiple rescue and police units were on the scene at South Ft. Thomas and River Road.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. FOX19 is headed to the scene and will continue to update the story as details become available.
