Subway Shooting

New York subway passenger shot and killed in third shooting in a month

It's the third shooting in the New York City subway in the last month. A passenger was shot and killed in a Manhattan train last night as other passengers screamed and dropped to the floor for cover.

Police are looking for two suspects who fled the station. It's not clear what prompted the shooting. Police say the victim had several prior arrests, including one for weapons possession.

Earlier this month, a woman was shot in the shoulder on a train in Times Square. A man was shot in late May as he walked through a subway turnstile in Queens.

They both survived.
