A Kentucky woman has died after she was accidentally shot with a crossbow.
Kentucky State Police says Yvetta Reffitt, 59, of Martin, was hunting on a farm Sunday in Owen County.
Police say Reffitt had been dropped off to hunt by herself at about 6:45 a.m. When she did not return for lunch, members of her hunting group began looking for her and found her at about 11:30 a.m.
Reffitt was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the crossbow shot, along with pre-existing medical conditions, caused her death.
