COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

The last of nine defendants involved in a prescription drug ring that distributed pills in Kenton County was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Danny Reeves sentenced 44-year-old Jerry Broome, of West Palm Beach, Fla., for conspiracy to distribute and distribution of Oxycodone.

Previously, Ryan Venable, Doug Dischar, Bonnie Rademaker, Daniel Stevens, Megan Johnston, Joshua Prewitt, Stephanie Fariello, and Daniel Cahill were sentenced for their roles in the conspiracy. The sentences imposed ranged from 23 to 158 months.

Court records reveal that Broome and Stevens shipped thousands of pills from Florida to Dischar in Northern Kentucky. Venable, Rademaker, Johnston, Prewitt, Fariello, and Cahill assisted Dischar in distributing the pills locally.

Under federal law, all of the defendants must serve 85 percent of their prison sentences, and, upon release, they will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office.
