Grocery store owner rallying for renovations

CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) -

A local business owner is not giving up on re-opening a grocery store in Clifton.

It's been an ongoing battle for store owner Steve Goessling to get his neighborhood grocery store open.

Goessling purchased the former Keller's IGA after it closed in January 2011.

A rally will be held on Friday at the store to urge city council to approve a loan to renovate the building.

Goessling is asking members of the community to come out and show their support.

A lot of neighbors are excited about the store opening because if it's convenience and easy access.

The renamed "Clifton Gaslight Market" will have 20,000 products including a bakery, organic food section, and a large wine and beer selection.

The $1.5 million renovation project is expected to open in January of 2013.
