DEA gets RX drugs off the street with Take-Back days
CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Police Departments throughout the country participated in National Prescription Drug take back day. Citizens were encouraged to drop off their old unused, and unwanted medication, with no questions asked.
The Drug Enforcement Agency asked that Americans take the opportunity to dispose of their drugs safely. According to the DEA the last four Take-Back days have taken 774 tons of medication from circulation.
Over 40 local police stations participated in the initiative.
