Debate continues on City Council term limits

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A meeting was held to discuss issue 4, or the term limits of Cincinnati City Council members Sunday at Adam's place. The issue will be on the ballot for City residents in the November elections.

Supporters of the lengthened term limits, like Laure Quinlivan, say it will allow council members to focus on getting more accomplished rather than worrying about an upcoming election.

However, those who oppose four year terms say that council members have too much self-interest to be increasing their own job security, at a time when others are fighting to keep their own jobs.
