EAST END, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati fire crews battled a one alarm fire at an East End flea market on Sunday morning.
Flames broke out at the Peddler's Flea Market on Kellogg Avenue just after 6:30 a.m.
Initial arriving units discovered that there was a small fire inside the flea market. The building manger was able to keep the fire from spreading beyond one booth prior to the Fire Department's arrival,
The Fire Department was able to extinguish the remaining fire within five minutes of arrival. Fire damage was confined to one booth There was a large amount of smoke and dry powder residue from fire extinguishers throughout the building.
Damage is estimated at $5,000. There were no reported injuries.
Cause of the fire was determined to be shorted electrical equipment. The inside part of the Flea Market remains closed until the Health Department responds on Monday, however the outside booths remain open.
