CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Former Cincinnati Mayor and TV talk show host Jerry Springer is visiting the University of Cincinnati on Tuesday, Oct. 2 and Wednesday, Oct. 3 to encourage young people to vote, and to do so early.
The event is sponsored by the University of Cincinnati College Democrats, Xavier College Democrats, Cincinnati State College Democrats, Hamilton County Young Democrats, and University of Cincinnati Law Democrats.
Springer will be speaking in Tangeman University Center's Great Hall at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The following morning, he will accompany busses of students down to the Board of Elections to register to vote and/or cast their early ballot for the 2012 election. Students should meet Jerry at McMicken Commons by 9 a.m.
Early voting begins Tuesday in Ohio.
