CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - State Treasurer Josh Mandel was in Cincinnati on Tuesday to discuss property taxes in Ohio.
Mandel has accused Senator Sherrod Brown of not paying property taxes three times on his D.C. condo while voting to raise taxes 36 times. "He's a career Washington politician… who thinks he can live by a different set of rules. He thinks he can raise our taxes… but at the same time thinks it's ok to not pay his own taxes," said Mandel.
In our commitment to balanced news, FOX19 reached out to Senator Brown for comment. His campaign communications director said, "Josh Mandel still owes the state of Ohio tens of thousands of dollars after avoiding paying a single dollar of taxes on his campaign staff in 2010, unlike Sherrod Brown who paid his bill in full the moment he realized it had been misplaced."
