9 Picks: LSU, Jags will win on the road, Saints to rock Superdome

Could this be the week all of our home teams win? 9 Picks says yes. LSU will have a break out game, the Jaguars will make it three in a row and Drew Brees will break another Hall of Famer's record and the Saints will get victory number one.

Let's get to this week's games:

#4 LSU (5-0, 1-0) at #10 Florida (4-0, 1-0)

LSU struggled against Towson Saturday and for the second straight week fell in the polls. Florida is a hot team, including wins against Texas A&M and Tennessee. Many "experts" are taking Florida, I think we have all learned one thing, you don't bet against Les Miles when times are tough. The Tigers roar in Gainesville:

LSU: 31    Florida: 17

Southern (2-2, 1-1) at Alcorn State (1-4, 1-2)

The Jags are looking for three in a row under interim head coach Dawson Podiums, while the Braves are riding a four game losing streak. Make that five in a row, the Jags are hot and the Braves are not:

Southern: 28    Alcorn State: 13

San Diego Chargers (3-1) at New Orleans Saints (0-4)

This will be Drew Brees' night. Sean Payton, Mickey Loomis and Joe Vitt have been given the Commissioner's blessing to be in New Orleans to see the star quarterback break Johnny Unitas' record for consecutive games throwing a TD. Making it even better, Brees will do just that against the team that let him go. The offense will shine for Brees and the defense will do enough. The Saints win this one and the Superdome roars once again:

Saints: 34    San Diego:  24

#20 Mississippi State (4-0, 1-0) at Kentucky (1-4, 0-2)

Mississippi State, while undefeated, is looking for a 60 minute game. The Bulldogs will get it against the woeful Wildcats:

Miss. State: 28    Kentucky: 17

Arkansas (1-4, 0-2) at Auburn (1-3, 0-2)

Ouch! Two proud programs struggling this year to win. Let's see, Arkansas lost to UL-Monroe in overtime and Auburn beat the War hawks in overtime, so with that said, the Tigers will win in an ugly one:

Auburn: 20    Arkansas: 17

#5 Georgia (5-0, 3-0) at #6 South Carolina (5-0, 3-0)

A huge SEC East matchup between undefeated teams. The winner takes a big step toward winning the East. The Old Ball Coach wins this one in a nail biter:

South Carolina: 27     Georgia: 24

#8 West Virginia (4-0, 1-0) at #11 Texas (4-0, 1-0)

West Virginia's defense gave up nine, yes, nine touchdowns last week against Baylor, but the offense scored ten! Genoa Smith brings his show to Austin this weekend. The Texas defense is better than Baylor's, but is it good enough to stop the Mountaineer offense? No:

West Virginia: 45    Texas: 30

#21 Nebraska (4-1, 1-0) at #12 Ohio State (5-0, 1-0)

Bo Peeling is going home and taking a Corn husker team that rallied from a 17 point deficit against Wisconsin with him. Urban Meyer's troops led by Barton Miller won a close one against Michigan State. This ends up being a happy homecoming for Bo:

Nebraska: 17    Ohio State: 16

Vanderbilt (1-3, 0-2) at Missouri (3-2, 0-2)

Could this be the week for Missouri? The Tigers are looking for their first victory and no better team to have scheduled than Vanderbilt. Welcome to the SEC Tigers and cong rats on beating up on the Commodores and earning your first conference win:

Missouri: 23    Vanderbilt: 16
