CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
On Tuesday, Great American Ball Park will play host to game three of the National League Division Series between the Cincinnati Reds and the San Francisco Giants.
"The staff are all pumped up. A lot of people seem to think we cared who we played but we didn't we are ready to mow anybody down," said Declan Mullin, V.P. of Ballpark Operations.
Confidence, there seems to be more of it this year than when the Reds made the playoffs two years ago, and that's showing in ticket sales.
"It's a lot more affordable this year," said Travis Jackson, Director of Marketing for 333-SEAT. "I think fans just generally believe they are going to go further this year."
Riverfront Choice Tickets and 333-SEAT has tickets for Tuesday's game starting at $79.
Of course if you're going to the game you have to have the gear.
"Usually at this time we are just doing Bengals and very little Reds," said Greg Koch, Owner of Koch Sporting Goods. "But we are geared up and have lots of stuff that we are trying to keep fresh."
The best place to be on Tuesday is inside Great American Ball Park and they're ready to wow fans.
"We have the Clydesdale for that, so they'll come in and go around the warning track pre-game," said Mullin. "If it's a day game we are working on flyovers. It is exciting and we'll be charged and pumped up."
The Reds last made it to the playoffs in 2010 and last won in the playoffs 17 years ago when they beat the Dodgers.
