Coming together to end Alzheimer's disease

Posted: Updated:

Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky natives are walking to end the sixth leading cause of death known as Alzheimer's disease at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6.

The 3.5 mile walk will start at Sawyer Point, and the route goes through Newport on the Levee and over the Purple People Bridge.

Last year an estimated 4,500 people in the tri-state area showed support for the 5.4 million Americans who are currently affected by Alzheimer's disease.

With their participation in the Greater Cincinnati Chapter's Five Walks they were able to raise a record total of $505,000.00!

They have an ambitious goal this year of $550,000.00, so if you would like more information, or if you feel inclined to register or donate you may do so on their website at www.alz.org/cincinnati.
