Police have released the names of victims of a fatal crash Monday morning as well as the driver.
According to a report, three-year old Rodriguez Taylor died at Children's Hospital after being struck by a car driven by Sheba Basabosa. Rodriguez's mother, Jocelyn Austin, 31, an unnamed 5-year old and one-year old Ricardo Taylor were also hit.
"I shakes you, it really shakes you," Adianne Sontag told FOX19. "You just take things for granted."
Sontag manages the building the mother, Jocelyn Austin, lives in with her boys.
"I know they had very little when they moved in," Sontag said. "We helped them out, gave them some couches and some furniture and all."
Police say a Basabosa, 35, lost control of her car around 4:45 on McHenry, crossed the center line, jumped the curb and hit a woman and her three small children who were walking on the sidewalk. The car also hit a hydrant and ended up coming to a rest on the other side of the roadway.
The mother was taken to University Hospital. Her injuries are said to be non life-threatening. The five year old was treated and released. The one year old is still hospitalized and listed in stable condition.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in this crash. Basabosa has not been charged at this time, but Cincinnati Police say a number of potential charges are being reviewed by the City prosecutor. Police say that she was wearing her seatbelt at the time.
