CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - About 60 workers under the vice president of ball park operations at Great American Ball Park spent Monday preparing the field and facility for Tuesday night's NLDS playoff game between the Cincinnati Reds and the San Francisco Giants.
"Today's really exciting. A lot of finishing touches are being done to get ready for our first playoff game of 2012," said Declan Mullin.
There is more to getting the facility ready than just restocking concession stands. "Checking seats, checking bathrooms, checking lights, field lighting along with touching up the paint, and white paint, steel, things like that," said Mullin.
The tell tale sign the post season baseball is back in Cincinnati is the bunting around the stadium. "It's up right now all around the facade and around the seating bowl," said Mullin. "It's great we know what we're putting it up for. It's not just opening day."
