A ribbon cutting ceremony is being held Wednesday for a new sports bar in downtown Cincinnati.
Local's Bar & Grill at 19 E. Seventh Street, between Vine and Walnut, officially opens at 2 p.m. The restaurant and bar will begin serving food and drinks immediately following for Reds fans to watch the 4 p.m. game.
Local's Bar & Grill has hired 60 new employees in anticipation of the opening.
The sports bar features a mix of bar classics, from Reuben Balls to Cincinnati Chili Dip, and specialty burgers with homemade ketchup along beer specials.
Local's Bar & Grill will originally open on Monday through Wednesday, 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Friday, 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. with weekend hours, Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. with future plans to open for lunch.
Sports fans will be able to enjoy a variety of live sporting events at one time in addition to a video gaming area. Local's Bar & Grill will also feature a private viewing room that seats up to 20 guests and includes four TVs.
