It's a sad day in the world of sports for Cincinnati. Although the Reds had a good run, they still fell short to the Giants (6-4) in yesterday's game. The Giants are now awaiting the winner of the Washington/St. Louis series to see who they play next.

The Little Miami School District has taken a big hit from The Ohio Department of Education. Little Miami's "excellent" stature has been bumped down to "effective". The downgrade comes after the district didn't meet adequate yearly progress for the second year in a row. According to the CDC, the Meningitis outbreak is continuing to spread. 14 people have died from the disease and around 170 people have become ill after being injected with a suspect steroid shot. Health officials are rushing to find a way to treat the illness and have settled on two very strong anti-fungal medications.

A comment made about the OSU football team is causing controversy at a Columbus pizza shop. A college student said he was fired for telling defensive coordinator Luke Fickell's wife that the team needed better tackling while taking her order. Fickell's wife didn't call to complain, but other employees reported the comment to their supervisor.
