Walnut Hills celebrates McMillan two-way traffic switch

WALNUT HILLS (FOX19) -

Mark Mallory helped to celebrate the return of two-way traffic to McMillan Street and William Howard Taft Road through the business district Saturday. Community leaders have been working with the Department of Transportation and Engineering since 2010.

McMillan Street, in between May Street and Victory Parkway, is scheduled to be repainted and converted Saturday October 13. Taft Road is scheduled to be converted on Saturday October 20.

The new design will have two eastbound lanes on McMillan, one westbound lane, and one lane for parking on the north side. Taft will have two westbound lanes, one eastbound lane, and one lane for parking on the south side.

The transition back to two-way traffic in effort to revitalize the business district, a change community and business leaders have been seeking for years.
