SEDAMSVILLE, OH (FOX19) -
Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash in Sedamsville.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. on Southside Avenue.
Police say David Eads, 47, was operating a Chevy Impala eastbound when he lost control and drove off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a concrete post, a chain link fence and a building before coming to rest and catching fire.
Eads was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in his vehicle, Jonathan Proffit, 21, was able to get out of the car before it caught on fire. Proffit was taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.
Police say alcohol is a factor in the crash.
