MENTOR, OH (WOIO) -

We have now learned it was a Mentor Police Officer who put his head in a bucket of urine in the Muni Lot this past Sunday, while tailgating for the Browns game. Mentor Officer Phil Croucher is a 16 year veteran of the force. He was off duty at the time of the incident.

Mentor Chief Daniel Llewellyn says they were made aware of the incident Thursday. They immediately had Officer Croucher checked out by a doctor to make sure he was not a medical risk to the public or himself.

The doctor gave him the all clear Friday and Officer Croucher has now been restored to full duty.

Chief Llewellyn says an internal investigation is under-way. The chief also says Officer Croucher has an excellent service record and he is disappointed in Officer Croucher's lack of poor judgement.

Officer Croucher was paid $450 for the stunt.
