Volunteers in Hamilton build a church in one day

Volunteers came together Friday to build a place of worship from the ground up on Hancock Avenue in Hamilton.

The United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI,) headquartered in Hazelwood Missouri, sponsors a program called Church in a Day. The program assists newly formed congregations in building a place of worship where the congregation can continue to grow.

Volunteers began working on the NorthPoint Church of Hamilton around 7 a.m. on Friday morning and were expected to complete the project around 10 a.m. Saturday morning. The church is expected to be ready for a worship service Sunday at 10 a.m.
