Republican candidate Richard Mourdock is feeling the heat after a comment he made about abortion during a debate in the Indiana Senate race last night. Mourdock stated that life is a gift from God, even if it was a result of rape. Dan Wells and Sheila Gray will have highlights from the controversial debate on the FOX19 Morning News.

A construction worker who was injured during the Horseshoe Casino collapse in January says he plans to file a lawsuit against the lead contractor of the project. James Lancaster suffered a broken back during the accident and says he plans on going after Messer Construction for his pain and suffering. Messer will not comment on a lawsuit until one is actually filed and their attorneys have a chance to review the claims against them.

Cincinnati City Council is expected to vote on a tax abatement today that would clear a huge obstacle in an effort to reopen a Clifton grocery store. Cory Stark is live this morning with more on the potential plans of Keller's IGA.

Your chances to bet locally on ponies next year is now a little slimmer. Turfway in Florence will be losing out on some serious revenue after the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission voted to give Churchill Downs a third live racing event next year. Turfway will also be reducing its schedule for February.

The University of Cincinnati is officially welcoming the "new man" on campus! The Board of Trustees has announced its interim President, Dr. Santa Ono, as Gregory Williams' permanent replacement. Ono came to UC as provost two years ago from Emory University.
