DRY RIDGE, KY (FOX19) -

Authorities arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery and carjacking in Dry Ridge on Wednesday.

The Grant County Drug Store on Barnes Rd. called 911 to report a robbery by a suspect wearing two bandanas. Employees of the store said the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded pills.

The suspect was given the pills before fleeing the store in a tan Oldsmobile Bravada. He was traveling westbound on Barnes Rd. towards the interstate. The vehicle was located in the 2000 block of Barnes Rd. a short time later.

Authorities say shortly before the robbery, the suspect made the female driver of an Oldsmobile drive him around for about 10 minutes before making her get out of the vehicle on Industrial Rd.

David Hager, 25, was arrested in the 1500 block of Cordova Rd. and charged with kidnapping, robbery and theft by unlawful taking of an automobile. Hager is being held in the Grant County Detention Center.

The incident remains under investigation.
