Brown Co. Sheriff's Office awarded $5,000


The Brown County Sheriff's Office was awarded $5,000 by the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI) for its work in prescription drug abuse enforcement.

"These funds will be used to further my efforts in fighting the drug abuse problems we have here in Brown County.  We have received these funds on three separate occasions since I took office in 2001.  We have received a total of $25,000.00 which is used to help fund the cost of investigations into prescription drug abuse.  With the tight budget we have to work with, we are very fortunate to receive these funds," said Sheriff Wenninger.

NADDI is a nonprofit organization that facilitates cooperation between healthcare professionals, state regulatory agencies, law enforcement and pharmaceutical manufacturers for prevent and investigate prescription drug diversion.
