Dance for the Cure raises money for Susan G. Komen

FORT WRIGHT, KY (FOX19) -

The Ritz Ballroom hosted Dance for the Cure to raise money for breast cancer research on Friday night at Shimmers Ballroom in Ft. Wright.

Dance for the Cure participants enjoyed dancing, drinks and music by local band Blue Stone Ivory and DJ JD Hughes.  The event featured an auction and raffle. The holder of the winning raffle ticket received a Caribbean cruise.

Attendees also had the chance to earn two private dance lessons and two group classes.

All told, Dance for the Cure raised $9,000 for Komen for the Cure.

The check will be presented on Friday.
