Butler Co. officers find heroin, crack, guns & cash

A months-long heroin investigation culminates with an arrest and seizure in Butler County.

Monday night, officers searched Rikki Sneed's home on 16th Street in Middletown.

Inside, the sheriff's office said they found 6 ounces of heroin, 2 ounces of cocaine/crack cocaine (total value in excess of $20,000), 2 loaded handguns, and more than $5,000 cash.

Sneed was taken to the Butler County Jail on two existing unrelated felony drug charge indictments. He was also served multiple outstanding warrants from Hamilton and Area Courts.

He will be facing four felony drug charges for possession and trafficking, and a felony for having a gun under disability.

Sheriff Jones is once again quite pleased with last night's results.  "We are seeing more and more heroin being used and distributed within our county," said the Sheriff.  "It's almost like pills and marijuana have taken a back seat to what was once rarely seen here.  Now, users and dealers alike are popping up right here with it.  As long as they keep trying to peddle it, we'll keep trying to stop it.  We don't want their poison in Butler County."
