Norwood Schools and UC Blue Ash College team for Norwood Promise - Cincinnati News, FOX19-WXIX TV

Norwood Promise brings tuition help to students

The Norwood City School District and the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College are teaming up to launch the Norwood Promise.

The nonprofit organization is funded by Norwood residents and works to partner with businesses, alumni and parents. The goal of the Norwood Promise is to raise money to provide graduates with 100 percent of their tuition and fees at a state university, community college, trade school or private learning center.

All Norwood graduates attending UC Blue Ash will receive a voucher providing $250 per semester for textbook costs beginning next school year.

"This is a life-changing opportunity for the students and families of the Norwood city Schools. Having the financial support of the community will bring the dream of a college education into reality. We are honored to be a part of the Norwood Promise and welcome Norwood students to UC Blue Ash," said the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Dean Cady Short-Thompson.
