Report: Teen dragged from home, assaulted for not deveining shrimp

ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

A Rock Hill man pulled his girlfriend's daughter out of his house and tried to hit her with his car, all for not properly cleaning shrimp, police say.

According to a report from the Rock Hill Police Department, the incident happened Tuesday evening at a home on Bose Avenue in Rock Hill.

An 18-year-old woman was told by her mother's boyfriend to have the house and the shrimp cleaned by the time he returned home.

She told police that she did clean both, but did not remove the vein from the shrimp, the report states.

When the mother's boyfriend came home, he became angry about the vein, and began yelling at the woman and swinging a knife at her before picking her up by her hair and dragging her out of the house, officers said.

Once outside, the boyfriend allegedly got into his vehicle and attempted to hit the woman before leaving the scene.

The woman's mother then told her that she would be arrested for trespassing, and she went to the Rock Hill Police Department to file the report.

No one was charged for the incident.
