Meth lab discovered at motel


Police are investigating a meth lab that was discovered at a West Chester hotel.

West Chester Police were called to the Tri-County Inn on SR 747 on Wednesday morning on a report of a possible meth lab. Upon further investigation, officers found the pre-cursors for a meth lab in room #417.

Several rooms were evacuated as a precaution. No one was hurt.

Several suspects are being interviewed, and at least two people were taken into custody.

Authorities say Jerry Marcum is charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs, illegal assembly of chemicals to manufacture drugs and tampering with evidence. Brenda Dungan is charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal assembly of chemicals to manufacture drugs. Marcum and Dungan were taken to the Butler County Jail. 

The incident remains under investigation.
