Cincinnati, OH (FOX19) - Yasmani Grandal, the Reds first round pick in 2010 has been suspended for the first 50 games of the 2013 season after a positive drug test that showed elevated levels of testosterone. Grandal is a catcher with the San Diego Padres. The Reds traded him to San Diego before the 2012 season as part of a deal that brought pitcher Mat Latos to Cincinnati.
Grandal made his major league debut with the Padres in 2012 and hit .297.
