Local music festival to raise awareness for breast cancer

The Southern Ohio Indoor Music festival kicks off on Friday to raise money for breast cancer research.

The event will take place November 9th and 10th at the Roberts Convention Centre.

The weekend will be full of award-winning talent including the Gibson Brothers, Joe Mullins and The Radio Ramblers, Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice and the "Queens of the Bluegrass" Rhonda Vincent and The Rage.

Doors to the festival open at 10 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

There will be a Jam Session Central area for pickers and everyone will have an opportunity to enter win several raffle prizes including musical instruments, hand-crafted goods and much more.

Janet Davis Acoustic Music, the official supply sponsor of Joe Mullins and The Radio Ramblers, has donated a Martin guitar valued at $699. The guitar will be given away to raise funds for breast cancer research.

Tickets range from $30-$65 and are available at the door.
