Drivers identified in fatal Kenton Co. crash


An early Sunday morning crash in Kenton County left two dead.

Kenton County police say that William Martin Jr., 28 of New Richmond, Ohio, was traveling southbound on Decoursey Pike around 5:20 a.m. when his vehicle went left of center and struck another vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle, Beverly Readnour, 60, of Morningview, Ky., died at the scene.

Martin was transported by helicopter to University Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Both drivers were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

Martin was driving a 2000 Mercury Cougar; Readnour was in a 1999 Toyota Camry.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
