Two inmates flee from jail, one still at large

HIGHLAND COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

Two inmate workers fled from the Highland County Jail on Monday night.

Robert Gibson and Gerald Fletcher were assigned to kitchen detail but left while taking trash to the dumpster.

Gibson was being held on a probation violation. His original charge was misdemeanor purchasing of pseudophed in excess to the legal limit. Fletcher was being held for failure to appear for Court. His original charge was misdemeanor theft.

Gibson was found and taken into custody just before 8 p.m. Escape charges are pending.

Authorities are actively searching leads on Fletcher's whereabouts.
