CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
Hyatt Regency Cincinnati will undergo over $20 million in renovations that will update the downtown hotel to meet the new demands of
business meeting and convention attendees.
"These improvements will maintain our competitive edge as a premier hotel
for upscale business travelers in the state and in the mid-west," said General
Manager Bruce Flyer. "We are eager to debut our contemporary new look to
both first-time visitors and loyal repeat guests, who will find the same level
of service that they have come to expect from Hyatt Regency Cincinnati."
Included in the
renovation is a complete overhaul of the hotel's 486 guest rooms, which
after the renovation will include one additional suite and four guest rooms for a
new property inventory of 491 guest rooms.
All 491 guestrooms and suites are
being wholly refurbished in a clean and contemporary, yet traditional style.
The new rooms, decorated in soothing neutral tones with red accents, will
incorporate warm residential furnishings, including new flat screen
televisions, carpeting, wall covering, drapes and bedding. Every guest
room will have a new mini refrigerator for guests' personal use.
In addition, Hyatt Regency
Cincinnati's meeting space will be upgraded with the addition of 3,450 sq ft.,
transforming the Findlay's restaurant space to a new room that is functional
for both meeting and social events.
The hotel's Regency Ballroom, the
largest hotel ballroom in downtown Cincinnati, will receive new décor and color
schemes for a more modern look. Hyatt Regency Cincinnati also plans to renovate
Champs restaurant, and reopen the full service eatery with a new name and
concept.
The complete hotel
renovation is scheduled to debut in summer 2013. The Hyatt Regency is located on West Fifth Street in Downtown Cincinnati.
