Local "Twi-hards" enjoy series' last premiere

"Twi-hards" packed theaters across the country Thursday night for the final movie in the Twilight saga, "Breaking Dawn Part 2".

Twilight fans said goodbye to their favorite vampire and werewolf cast as they watched the 10 p.m.  and midnight viewing of the film at Rave Motion Pictures.

The final movie stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in their roles as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. The couple try to live a peaceful life with their child, but their lives get threatened from a rival vampire clan.

Surveys show the film debut is expected to bring in about $150 million which would be the biggest opening number yet for the Twilight series.

The second biggest was "New Moon" which grossed $142.8 million in the 2009 debut.

The series has made more than $2 billion worldwide.
