HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

Investigators will be back at the scene of a deadly Thanksgiving Day fire in Hamilton.

Flames broke out in the home in the 700 block of Pine Street around 8:00AM Thursday, killing the man who lived there. He's being identified by his landlord as Chris Tobertque, 37.

Neighbors called 911 and tried to save him, but the fire was too intense. Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Shaw told FOX19 the home was completely consumed by fire when crews arrived, with flames coming out of every window.

"Right from the start we thought we had someone inside, and most likely a fatality at that point. It was just too much fire for anyone to be saved," added Shaw.

Shaw said an adjacent home almost caught fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but crews do not suspect anything suspicious.

At the same time crews were fighting that deadly fire, they were also working to control two other fires in Hamilton.
