AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -

Crews are investigating an overnight fire that broke out in the 800 block of Blair Avenue around 1 a.m. Monday morning.

Firefighters found the home almost completely engulfed when they arrived on the scene.

Crews were told someone could have been on the second floor and were sent inside to search. Fire officials say conditions quickly deteriorated and crews were told to get out of the building. Two firefighters suffered minor burns in a flashover while they tried to escape. They are said to be doing fine this morning.

The Red Cross has been called in to help two displaced families, three adults and one child, who lived in the three-family building.

The fire destroyed the building, leaving behind $80,000 in damage.

No word on what caused the fire, but investigators say it is suspicious.

FOX19 will bring you new information when it becomes available.
