CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

CNN Money has named Cincinnati has a top city where startups are thriving.

"The city has made a major turnaround in recent years. It all started with a depressing economic report that showed the region was falling behind on venture capital," an online article states. "The report showed new companies had access to investors who supplied seed-stage money -- the first round of funds. But after that, the money dried up. Startups had to fend for themselves."

The article then talks about Cintrifuse, which remedied the problem by providing office space and connecting entrepreneurs. In addition, the city received help from CincyTech, a nonprofit venture capital provider, and mentoring classes from The Brandery.

Boulder was named as the top city. Nashville, Provo, Omaha and Des Moines also made the list.
