The Toledo Catholic Diocese says it plans to close 24 of its parishes.
The diocese says that number could change as they plan to consolidate small churches and address the shortage of priests. Church leaders will base their decision on factors including parish size, the number of baptisms and whether there are other churches nearby.
Officials aren't saying which churches will be closed.
