Arrest made in bar robbery that injured patron

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Police have made an arrest in an armed robbery at a Colerain Township bar.

Jeffery Diamond, 54, is charged with one count of aggravated robbery.

According to court documents, on Nov. 5, Diamond entered Kahoot's bar on Colerain Avenue and displayed and handgun while ordering all patrons to the floor.

Diamond opened the register to grab cash and was confronted by a bar patron who was exiting the restroom. The patron attempted to subdue Diamond, and during the struggle, the patron was struck in the face with the gun. 

The struggle continued to outside, where the patron struck Diamond, causing both to fall to the ground. The patron was able to pull off Diamond's mask and recognized him as someone he knew.

Diamond ended up fleeing the scene.

He was arrested on Monday and is being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center,
